Amazon partners with food delivery app Grubhub for its US Prime customers

E-commerce giant Amazon has integrated food delivery firm Grubhub into Amazon.com and the Amazon Shopping app.

Amazon now allows Prime customers, who pay $139 annually, to enjoy free delivery on food orders of $12 or more, along with other benefits, reported the Verge.

Grubhub Inc. is an American online and mobile prepared food ordering and delivery platform based in Chicago.

Amazon has integrated Grubhub into its Prime membership, making it a permanent feature. Previously, Prime members could get a free one-year subscription to Grubhub Plus, which auto-renewed at $129 annually.

The ordering process through Amazon is the same as using Grubhub’s website or app and is available to all customers, not just Prime members.

Amazon and Grubhub will also continue collaborating on promotions, such as food pairings and special items like the limited Nuka Burger for the Fallout series premiere.

Prime membership, which costs $139 annually, includes services like Prime Video, Amazon Music, and premium add-ons such as RxPass for $5 a month and unlimited grocery delivery from Whole Foods and Amazon Fresh for $10 a month.
